"Great dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion." - Martha Graham
Dance lives in my soul.
I started performing when I was 2 1/2. I have done everything from performing to teaching and choreography. You can read more about my story here.
I grew up in the "Internet age" and was interested in learning about SEO rankings. That is, I wondered how certain websites found their way to the top of the search list. I decided to create a website about my first love - dance. I used it to help me figure out how to rank higher in website searches. As I worked on this process, my website became more popular, and was found by people wanting to learn how to dance. The circularity created a new side business for me - teaching dance. It brought wonderful opportunities to teach and grow. I created a performance group, and got involved in the music and dance festivals in the Seattle area. I held office in Seattle World Percussion Society, a non-profit organization that offered a free festival that served upwards of 20,000 people every year.
Most importantly, it taught me how to run a successful business. I was able to combine my love for dance, teaching, project managment and business into one experience.
